The Client
AMI Entertainment Network is an innovative entertainment technology company with a history spanning more than 100 years. Known for its digital jukeboxes, interactive trivia games, second-screen content, and mobile payment capabilities, AMI has continued to evolve at the intersection of entertainment and technology. While headquartered in Chicago, the organization operates largely within a remote environment, requiring talent that can succeed both technically and within a distributed culture.
The Background
CultureFit’s partnership with AMI Entertainment Network predates the launch of CultureFit itself. Before founding the company, Adam had already established a strong working relationship with AMI through his previous firm, Advanced Search. That relationship continued after CultureFit was formed and has since become one of the firm’s longest-standing and most impactful partnerships.
Over the course of more than 20 years, CultureFit has supported AMI through multiple phases of growth, organizational change, and technology evolution.
The Challenge
AMI’s hiring needs have consistently gone beyond simply filling open roles. As an innovative technology organization, they needed a recruiting partner that could deliver across a wide range of technical skill sets while also understanding the environment, leadership structure, and long-term expectations of the business.
Their needs included:
- Executive and senior leadership hiring within technology
- Long-term direct hire placements
- Contract-to-hire hiring for core individual contributor roles
- Project-based contract support tied to key initiatives
- Talent aligned to a largely remote operating environment
As the organization grew, the need for a partner who truly understood the business became increasingly important.
Our Approach
CultureFit became an embedded recruiting partner to AMI’s technology organization.
Because of the length and consistency of the relationship, we were able to build a deep understanding of:
- The leadership team and how they operate
- The structure of the technology organization
- The skill sets required across both leadership and individual contributor roles
- The type of professionals who succeed long term at AMI
- How to effectively recruit into a remote and highly specialized environment
Rather than approaching each search as a standalone project, we supported AMI with the context and continuity that only comes from a long-term partnership.
Roles Filled
Over the years, CultureFit has made well over 100 placements with AMI since the founding of CultureFit, with additional successful placements made prior to that relationship through Advanced Search.
Our work has included both leadership and individual contributor hiring across the technology organization.
Leadership Placements
- Chief Technology Officer
- Director, Server Development
- VP, Product & Marketing
- VP, Application Development
- Additional senior technology management and leadership roles
Individual Contributor and Specialized Technology Placements
- Mobile development professionals
- Software engineering talent
- Business analysts
- Data-focused roles
- Additional core contributors across the broader technology team
We have also supported AMI with contract-to-hire hiring for many non-leadership roles, as well as project-based contract recruiting when timing and business priorities required specialized support.
The Impact
This partnership has produced results that go far beyond successful placements.
One of the strongest proof points is retention. The average tenure of our leadership placements at AMI has exceeded 10 years. That level of long-term success reflects more than technical alignment — it reflects strong cultural and organizational fit, thoughtful hiring decisions, and a recruiting approach built around the future, not just the immediate opening.
Just as importantly, our relationship with AMI has extended beyond the point of hire. We have maintained relationships with the executives we helped place, giving us ongoing insight into the business, leadership team, and evolving talent needs of the organization. That continuity has strengthened trust, improved precision, and allowed us to deliver consistently over time.

Why This Partnership Matters
AMI Entertainment Network is a strong example of what happens when recruiting is treated as a long-term business partnership rather than a transactional service. Over time, CultureFit has helped AMI do more than fill roles. We have helped strengthen leadership, build core technical teams, and support the organization’s growth through talent that lasts.
This is what CultureFit is built to do — deliver talent with the precision, alignment, and long-term thinking that helps organizations scale with confidence.
