RR Donnelley was growing significantly in Greater Chicagoland within their IT department. They needed to grow strategically within development, security, quality assurance, project management, and help desk teams. The goal was to double the size of their team within a 2–3-year period.
They were looking for a staffing partner that was going to help change the current culture within their IT department and be able to incorporate themselves into RR Donnelley to truly understand how to effect a culture change.
CultureFit quickly needed to understand the leadership style that RR Donnelley was looking for and the technical environment that needed to be managed. In order to give CultureFit the time needed to go to the market and identify a long-term solution, we had to reach out to our network and find a short-term solution first.
CultureFit took the time necessary to understand the vision from leadership down to the individual employees that were going to be continued examples of what the organization was trying to build.
CultureFit created a go-to-market strategy to sell the opportunity with a growing and rapidly changing organization. RR Donnelley saw success both in the short- and long-term. Over a 3-year period, CultureFit identified more than 25 employees in both a permanent-hire and contract-to-hire structure that started working at RR Donnelley.
“Eric has done a great job in understanding our needs for acquiring talent,” said Ira Shapiro, RR Donnelley CTO. “His focus goes beyond technical skills and works to make a good fit for both the candidate and us. He makes the process easy for me and his follow-through is excellent. I would not hesitate to work with Eric for all our talent acquisition needs.”
